Trex is #1 for Scratch Resistance

I've been a renovation contractor and deck builder for more than 20 years and have always wondered which is the most scratch resistant composite decking material, because it's important to me that a clients deck lasts a long time and looks good. I build decks using composite deck materials including Trex, Timbertech and Azek in North Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. Today I tested the best quality line with similar light brown colour in each of the brands including Trex Transcend Tiki Torch, Timbertech Tropical Collection Antigua Gold and Azek Vintage Collection Cypress. These are all pretty good composite decking materials(in my opinion) however based on my test, Trex is #1 for scratch resistance.

Trex is #1 for Scratch Resistance!

Trex Transcend Tiki Torch, Timbertech Tropical Collection Antigua Gold and Azek Vintage Collection Cypress scratch test showing that Trex is the most scratch resistant composite decking material.
